KUALA LUMPUR: The KYUEM Open Day will be held on March 30 from 10.15am to 2pm at its campus in Lembah Beringin.

Each year around 80 per cent of KYUEM’s students go to top-ranked universities in the UK, Australia and the USA.

“This year, four students have already received conditional offers from Oxford and Cambridge Universities,” said a statement.

One of them has been offered to read History at Somerville College, Oxford while others have been offered by Cambridge University  to read Engineering, Law and Medicine at Fitzwilliam College, Murray Edwards College, Robinson College.

These outcomes have become common place at the college since it was established in 1998.

KYUEM students are selected not only on grounds of academic ability, but also because they have already displayed qualities of commitment to and success in a range of other activities.

The college employs both local and expatriate teachers who are well qualified, many having first class honours degrees, Master’s degrees and doctorates.

KYUEM students are very well placed to meet these demands through the very well-informed university placement counselling they receive.

The college provides its students with a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities in sport, drama, debating and various other activities, both cerebral and cultural.

These help to develop their wider interests, personalities, team-working abilities, communication skills and leadership potential — holistic education.

The college values tolerance and is committed to producing young men and women who will play leading roles in their own nations and in the international economy.

It respects tradition and the Asian values of family, community and religious faith, but it also recognises education as a liberating and mind-broadening experience.

KYUEM encourages all its students, wherever they come from, whatever their background, to entertain the highest aspirations.  It also helps them turn these ideals into reality.

KYUEM is now also open for international students and welcomes talented students with excellent academic records and outstanding co-curricular backgrounds to apply for the July 2013 intake.
