KUCHING: SS Fighters Club from Petra Jaya, Kuching dominated the Lundu Muay Thai Challenge at Kampung Rukam, Lundu last Saturday by winning 14 out of the 18 finals contested.

The winners included Sukma XVI shadow team members Awang Ahmad Hazwan Awang Hamzani and Muhammad Hisham Jawan who captured the 60-63kg and 67-71kg titles respectively.  Another Sukma hopeful Khairul Amilharazam failed to win any medal due to injury.

SS Fighters Club president and owner Sulaiman Salleh was delighted with the excellent performance of his fighters, saying that they deserved to win.

“I must congratulate my fighters for their good results. They have trained very hard for the competition and performed up to expectations. Those who have lost are either injured or first-timers who met Sukma shadow team members in the finals,” he said yesterday.

The one-day competition organised by Jalan Biawak Lundu Muay Thai Club in collaboration with Putera SPDP attracted more than 50 participants from SS Fighters Club, Kenyalang Muay Thai Club and Lundu Biawak Muay Thai Club.
