Ghapur said public support was needed  to make the county’s transformation as well as the government’s agenda to generate sustainable development, a success.

The people should give confidence to the government that has proven to be excellent in developing our country in terms of education, socio-economic, welfare and prosperity of the people.

He told the media this after presenting certificates to 12 participants who attended a two-year sewing class at Kampung Sungai Imam here, yesterday.

“BN leaders are always going to the ground to hear the people’s problem. We are not just doing this for votes near the election.

“On the other hand, the opposition parties are appearing only at a certain time and making many empty promises. Some of them are likely to twist facts in order to attract the people’s attention to support their futile struggle,” Ghapur said.

Touching on the sewing class, he hoped it would bring  advantages to the participants in improving their family income.

Ghapur also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the two  national heroes who were killed in Lahad Datu.
