KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Takzim took over the top spot in the Super League when they edged Negeri Sembilan

2-1 at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin, last night.

Dubbed Southern Tigers, they topped the table by collecting 16 points from 16 matches to topple the Malaysian Armed Forces to the second spot with one point difference.

Johor Darul Takzim had an early scare when Negeri Sembilan opened scoring in the 28th minute through midfielder Rashid Mahmud.

However, they came back from behind to equalise late in the second half in the 82nd minute through a header by defender Kamarul Afiq Kamaruddin and found the winner in the dying minutes of the game through Mohd Nurul Azwan Roya.  — Bernama
