KUCHING: DKSH Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd (DKSH) has inked an agreement to provide logistics and distribution services to Advance Pharma Sdn Bhd (Advance Pharma), an importer of pharmaceutical products in Malaysia.

On the other hand, DKSH will also provide credit and collection services for ethical pharmaceuticals in the state of Sarawak.

“The decision to extend our partnership with DKSH is based on their commitment to quality and compliance, their capillary distribution network across Malaysia as well as track record. This has helped us grow our business in West Malaysia over the past four years,” Advance Pharma business manager John Ho said in a statement.

DKSH business unit healthcare general manager Marc Franck further added, “This has strengthened the attractiveness of our unrivalled capillary distribution network that covers all states and regions of Malaysia for healthcare companies who want to grow their business.

“We are proud to extend our market expansion services for Advance Pharma to include the state of Sarawak in East Malaysia,” he added.

The partnership between the two companies in Malaysia has demostrated the ability of DKSH to provide services even for local Asian companies that want to focus on their core competencies while outsourcing parts of their value chain.

The agreement would also further strengthen DKSH’s market position in Malaysia while contributing incrementally to its group’s overall earnings and profitability over time.

Currently, the company is also one of the oldest and largest market expansion service providers in the country, serving 130 brand owners, 13,000 customers and employing a workforce of over 3,000 specialised staff.
