Kenyalang Archery Club reach out to youths

Posted on March 10, 2013, Sunday

KUCHING: Kenyalang Archery Club has ambitions to unite all archers especially those living at the Petra Jaya area here.

Its president Halim Mohamad disclosed this in a recent interview.

“My friends and I have always wanted to form an archery club. Now that we have a club, we will do our best to make ourselves as active as possible from now onwards,” he said.

Halim also expressed his concern about the youths in his area interested in archery. He wants a platform for them to develop and manage their talents.

“Most of them only compete at school level tournaments such as the ones organised by MSSS (Sarawak State School Council). They have never represented the state, more specifically in Sukma,” he added.

On the club’s future plans, Halim wants the club to produce more archery talents for Sarawak and hope that more club members will become state athletes in archery.

To this end, he is inviting all who are interested in archery to register as club members.

Those interested can contact Kenyalang Archery Club at 013-8068585 (Halim) or 019-8870700 (Club Secretary).
