Sandakan Suluk community pledges loyalty to Agong

SANDAKAN: The Suluk community in Sandakan pledged their loyalty to Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, and the federal and state governments when their community leaders paid a courtesy call on  Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman when he visited Sandakan, Saturday.

The courtesy call was held at Musa’s residence, Sri Libaran in Sandakan, yesterday.

They made the pledged through their spokesmen Hatta Yunus @ Sawabi, Shariff Shabdan and Shariff Hashim.

Earlier, Musa visited Constable Mohamed Qayyum Aiqal Zolkifli, the police constable who was injured in a shootout with militants from Sulu in Lahad Datu recently at the VVIP lounge of Sandakan Airport before Mohamed departed to Kuala Lumpur for further treatment.

Present at the airport were Officer-in-Charge of Police Department (OCPD) Sandakan, ACP Rowell Marong, Duchess of Kent Hospital director Dr Supathiratheavy Rasiah, Gum-Gum assemblyman Datuk Zakaria Edris, Sekong assemblyman Datuk Samsudin Yahya and Sandakan Municipal Council president Datuk James Wong.
