Two GOF from Miri injured in shootout

LAHAD DATU: Two General Operations Force personnel suffered injuries
during a shootout against the Sulau intruders at Kampunh Tanjung Batu
this morning.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib in disclosing this said the
duo, both 25 attached to Police GOF unit in Miri, Sarawak, are
currently warded at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan for
further treatment.

However, identities of the two personnel are withheld until their
familoes are notified.

“We have moved further into Kampung Tanjung Batu in an operation
between 8pm last night to 4am. A shootout broke and two of our men got
injured. One was shot on the thigh while the other on the calf,” he
said.
