Graduation day for SM RIPAS

TUTONG: Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School (SM RIPAS), Tutong recently held a graduation day and an award presentation ceremony for their 2012 intake of ‘O’ Level students who managed to get five to eight ‘O’ Levels. The event was held at the school’s multipurpose hall, Borneo Bulletin reported.

The guest of honour at the event was Hjh Nur Amalina binti Hj Md Arif, Senior Education Officer at the Examination Department, Ministry of Education.

The event began with a speech by the school headmaster Cikgu Ismail bin OILS Hj Tengah. The school headmaster highlighted the improvements in the numbers of those achieving good grades for the ‘0’ Level exams. He also stated that the school will continue to strive to improve the teaching qualities and the results of the ‘0’ Level exams.

Forty-two students who managed to get five to 8 ‘O’ Levels were celebrated during the event. Besides the award presentation, several students also received special awards such as best in subjects, most progressive students, principal awards, most outstanding student and SM RIPAS Exemplary Student award.
