Career, training fair to offer over 15,000 jobs

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 15,000 jobs for graduates and professionals are up for grabs at the Malaysia Career and Training Fair (MCTF) 2013, jointly organised by AIC Exhibitions Sdn Bhd and JobStreet.com.

The MCTF 2013 will be held from March 29-31 at the Midvalley Exhibition Centre here.

JobStreet.com Country Manager, Chook Yuk Yng, said MCTF 2013 is the largest career fair ever put together, taking up three halls covering a total of 48,500 sq ft.

She said over 160 companies will be offering jobs in all the states in Malaysia as well as
overseas.

“Participating employers range from a diverse set of industries such as information technology, oil and gas, financial services, retail, engineering, marketing and sales, food and beverages, healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, human resource, event management and many more,” she told reporters at JobStreet.com job outlook report for the first quarter (Q1) of 2013.

She said given that the employment prospects are looking bright in Q1 2013, there will be opportunities for jobseekers to meet human resource personnel, submit their resumes and obtain more information about the companies.

“JobStreet.com looks forward to helping connect jobseekers from different specialisation to quality jobs that are available at the fair,” she added.

Meanwhile, AIC Exhibitions Managing Director, William Ng, said there will be on-the-spot interviews as well as resume clinics and career talks to help jobseekers brush up on their job hunting skills.

Ng said the fair was expected to attract over 120,000 visitors.

Among the top companies taking part in the career fair are AIG Global Services, Nestle Products, Petronas, Murphy Group, Genting Group, British American Tobacco, Kraft Foods, Phillip Morris Malaysia, Dell Global Business Centre and others. — Bernama
