National health survey from March 21

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN:The Ministry of Health has announced that the National Health Survey (Kajiselidik Sistem Kesihatan) 2013 will be conducted for a period of four weeks beginning March 21, 2013, Borneo Bulletin reported.

The aim of the survey is to obtain detailed information, perception and expectation of the general public in regard to the healthcare system and the nation’s infrastructure.

According to a press statement, the survey is one of the activities in the Master Plan project and healthcare infrastructure intended to assist in the formation of short-, medium- and long-term strategies in line with the Ministerial Vision (Wawasan Kementerian-Kementerian) as well as the National Vision 2035.

The survey would require interviews with selected residents who will be contacted in advance for their consent and at the same time, to fix the date of interview with them.

The interview will take about half an hour and all the information and personal details of the participants will be kept confidential.

The survey will be conducted by the Ministry of Health with the help of the Innova Group (USA), Research Triangle Institute (USA), as well as Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) Brunei Darussalam.

The Ministry of Health hopes to receive cooperation and support from the selected participants for the success of the survey. With the availability of information and results, the survey is hoped to contribute in further enhancing the health system in the country to be more efficient, effective and resilient.
