LAHAD DATU: The security forces are tightly guarding the Lahad Datu waters, especially in Tungku against intruders.

A patrol trip on board ‘PAC 51’ of the marine police force to Kampung Tanduo and Kampung Tanjung Batu found that the areas were fully guarded by the marine police and navy.

A few marine and navy boats were also seen in the two areas, monitoring any movements of people.

The old mosque in Kampung Tanduo that was used by the armed terrorists earlier was empty and no movement was detected.

Meanwhile, in Kampung Tanjung Batu, a few houses were burned by the terrorists, but there was no movement of people.

According to the marine operation officer, patrols were carried out at all times on rotation basis to ensure the safety of people in the areas.

He added that all security forces personnel were always ready for any situation.
