Timber camp worker killed

TAWAU: A timber camp worker was killed after he lost control of a vehicle and plunged into a 60-metre deep ravine while driving back from Luasong to Kuamut camp on Sunday.

District police chief ACP Awang Besar Dullah said Junaide bin Parose, 63, died at the scene due to serious head injuries.

He said the accident occurred about 9pm and workers only realised it about 9am on Monday.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
