KUCHING: AmBank (M) Bhd Sarawak (AmBank Sarawak) has recorded the best performance in retail financing throughout the whole country, its Retail Banking managing director Paul Lewis said.

“This is due to the vast business opportunities in Sarawak and good and continuous support from the people,” he said.

He told reporters this after unveiling the newly renovated AmBank Kuching Jalan Abell branch here yesterday.

He said as recognition to the bank’s branches in the state and to provide customers better quality services, the bank over the past few months had taken the initiatives to introduce its new concept branch here.

Lewis added that through the enhanced range of services and facilities housed in a more contemporary branch layout, customers could expect smother service delivery in convenience and comfort.

He also said in view of the ever positive trend in Sarawak the company would continue to strive towards providing better services to valued customers.

Among those present at the simple but significant ceremony yesterday were the bank’s head of Sales, Wealth and Deposits Badrul Hisham, AmBank Retail Banking Sarawak Region regional director Simon Su, Ambank Retail Banking Sarawak Region District 1 district manager Angela Liaw and AmBank Jalan Abell branch manager Lim Hian Kit.

With that AmBank customers and clients in and around Bau area would now enjoy better services at a larger and bigger premise.

The new Bau branch premises also includes a full blown electronic banking centre (EBC) consisting of two automated teller machines (ATMs), a cash deposit machine (CDM) and a cheque machine (CQM) which is the most complete EBC in the gold town.
