LAHAD DATU: Security measures are been intensified despite assurance from the security forces’ chiefs that the situation in the east coast has improved.
Thorough checks are being made on identification documents of those passing through the roadblocks manned by the security forces.
On Thursday, villagers at Kembara Sakti claimed to have spotted four armed men, who they believe are remaining members of the Filipino intruders, in their village.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, however described the incident as an exaggeration.
