Petronas Leadership Centre bags GlobaICCU gold award

KUALA LUMPUR: The Petronas Leadership Centre (PLC), a key learning arm for the Petronas Group, has won a gold award from the Global Council of Corporate Universities (GlobalCCU).

“In essence, the award acknowledges the role of PLC as the Corporate University of Petronas which promotes its corporate culture, brand and identity through niche learning solutions to its stakeholders,” PLC said in a statement yesterday.

PLC’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Yasir Abdul Rahman received the award at the inaugural GlobalCCU Awards for corporate universities in Paris, France.

GlobalCCU chairman Annick Renaud-Coulon and Club Med CEO Henri Giscard d’Estaing as well as Microsoft Europe chairman Jan Muehlfeit, co-chaired the award presentation.

The GlobalCCU awards recognise the best corporate universities worldwide that create value for people, business and society and that had performed at the highest level of excellence within and for the
profession.

According to the statement, the Advisory and Judging Committee, who comprised international experts in the profession had selected winners among finalists from 19 countries over five continents.

Also present at the ceremony was the Malaysian ambassador to France, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal.

Yasir said the global recognition was indeed a proud achievement for them at PLC and it would not have been possible without the support from Petronas. — Bernama
