KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Supreme Council member Chin Tek Ming thanked DAP Socialist Youth publicity secretary Junz Wong for supporting his statement on Project IC in Sabah.

Chin, who is also PBS Luyang divisional chief, in a statement also urged DAP leaders Jimmy Wong, Lim Guan Eng, Lim Kit Siang and Hiew King Cheu to learn from Junz Wong for not objecting blindly.

“If you read DAP and Pakatan Rakyat’s press statements, they only object because they just want to object. Perhaps that is in line with their label of being ‘opposition’ parties.

“What is the point of objecting if you do not give any suggestion or how you are going to solve the problems? Everyone knows about the problem but not everyone knows how to solve the problem.

“It is good if the opposition can also give their suggestions and methods of solving the problems of Project IC.

“No need to wait until they become the government; they should tell the public now and not simply shout in the newspapers and cyber nets; otherwise, shut up and let us do our jobs,” he said.

“I am sure Barisan Nasional, led by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, is willing to listen and adopt the opposition’s suggestion if the suggestion can solve the problems of Project IC in Sabah.

Touching on the Royal Commission of Inquiry on illegal immigrants, Chin said everyone should not jump the gun by giving irresponsible statements that the RCI was useless.

“Everyone should give a chance to the RCI panel to discharge their responsibilities diligently as the panel consists of reputable professionals and known to be impartial individuals,” he said.

In responding to a call for PBS to pull out from BN, Chin said they in PBS, especially Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, were the victims of Project IC and they know what the opposition was capable of.

“We choose to be with BN for a simple reason. It is more effective to participate in the transformation process to make Malaysia a better nation. Shouting in the newspapers carries no weight and will not solve the problem.

“The sectors who have benefited from Project IC should also shut up and comment no more about Project IC because they are not fit to comment.

“Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) should shut their big mouth and recall how they had benefited from Project IC if they want to be respected.

“All the issues raised by SAPP and Yong Teck Lee would have easily been done when he was Sabah Chief Minister. Why champion only after leaving BN?

“What is wrong cannot be undone as it is an open secret that the wrong was done by the previous leaders, including the opposition’s intended prime minister.

“Give credit and support to the present leaderships who are sincere in tackling this problem.

“Let’s work hand in hand with the government to clear the illegal immigrants for a bright future of our beloved nation,” Chin said.
