Teo Kim Huat helms TTAS for another term

KUCHING: Michael Teo Kim Huat of Kuching was returned unopposed as president for the new term 2013-2015 during the biennial general meeting of the Table Tennis Association of Sarawak (TTAS) last Sunday.

Also retaining their posts were chairman Richard Wee Liang Chiat and deputy chairman Simon Wong Wei Kiong, both from Kuching.

The new faces are vice chairman Poh Cho Wang and committee member Robin Ling, both from Miri.

Other vice chairmen are Yip Pau Cheng (Kuching), Dr Clement Chen Tzeh Chung (Sibu), Liaw Ho Kiong (Limbang), Ting Sieng Mee (Sarikei), Ko Lai Huat (Kapit), Lee Chiong Siong (Bintulu), Bong Jat Chung (Samarahan) and Heng Chen Huat (Mukah).

Helena Christine Wee (Kuching) also retained her post as secretary-cum-training officer with Ang Bee Hua (Kuching) as the assistant secretary while the treasurer is Joseph Hii Sing Mee (Kuching).

Lai Yun Siew (Kuching) was retained as technical chairman while other committee members are Chua Chiaw Lian (Kuching), Ling Kah Nge (Sibu), William Wong (Sarikei), Tay Hock Joo (Kapit), John Bong Kok Teck (Bintulu), Woon Ta Teng (Samarahan) and Jong Nam Hua (Mukah).

The association’s auditor is Chai Chon Sien from Kuching.

Meanwhile, Sarawak will participate in the 33rd Malaysia Milo Youth (U-18 and U-15) Table Tennis Championship in Terengganu from June 5-9 and the Malaysia Hopes Table Tennis Championship in Kelantan in November.

Other events in the TTAS calendar are Sukma XVI in Kuala Lumpur from July 4-7, the 50th Malaysia Open Championship in Sabah from Dec 8-11 and the 53rd Sarawak Inter-Division meet in Sibu from Dec 15-19.
