SANDAKAN: An elderly man suffering from blurred eyesight is grateful to incumbent Karamunting assemblyman Datuk Peter Pang En Yin who made arrangements for him to undergo cataract surgery recently.
Chin Kui Siong’s family members were grateful to Pang for giving him a “new vision and hope.” Pang’s concerns for Chin’s eye problem and his commitment to help him “see” again have touched their hearts.
“Chin has been moody and behaving strangely at times due to his eyesight problem but after the cataract surgery he has returned to being his normal self,” a family member informed after Pang’s visit on Sunday.
Pang promised Chin that he would make the necessary arrangements for him to undergo a second surgery to repair the other eye irregardless of whether he would be contesting or not in the next general election.
