FAS to revamp team lineup, says Sudarsono

KUCHING: The Football Association of Sarawak (FAS), which is eyeing the Super League, will make a decision soon on the state team’s line-up, with some players expected to be dropped.

Its president, Datuk Sudarsono Osman said the management was analysing the situation and looking into ways and means to improve the performance of the team, currently doing reasonably well in the Premier League.

“Our ambition is the Super League. For this to happen, we have to finish this season strongly. So players should not be surprised if they are dropped,”

“Since each team is allowed to sign only two foreign players in the Malaysian league, one foreign player has to go if the management finds a better player,” he said in a statement here today.

Late last month Sarawak head coach Roberts Alberts said FAS might enlist the services of Malaysian-born Junior Eldstål currently playing in the Vauxhall Football League in England during the April transfer window. — Bernama
