BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Parents of the students of Sultan Umar All Saifuddin (SUAS) Muara Primary School Brunei 11(B) recently attended the launch of its outreach programme on ‘Multiplication Methods’, Borneo Bulletin reported.
Also present during the launching were Cikgu Hajah Minah binti Damit, the Principal of SUAS Muara Primary School, Cikgu Rohaya binti Yusof, Deputy Principal, as well as senior officers and teachers.
The ceremony commenced with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Zulfadli bin Hj Metussin, prior to the launching of the outreach programme.
It continued with a briefing for the parents on the outreach programme, which will run every Friday from the month of April until October this year.
According to a press statement, the programme’s objective is to highlight to the parents and guardians the importance of the multiplication tables to the students.
The programme was also held to encourage the parents’ involvement in their children’s education, especially in helping them memorise the multiplication tables.
Additionally, it was also conducted to foster cooperation between the teachers and parents.
