KUCHING: Kedah is looking forward to avenge their recent defeat to Sarawak and they may get it when the two teams lock horns at Stadium Darul Aman in Alor Setar today.

“Unlike the previous encounter, I think Kedah will play all their imports and we must be careful,” Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts commented on what he expects to be a tough match against Kedah which has good attacking players.

FIXTURES

PREMIER LEAGUE

Kedah vs SARAWAK – 8.45pm

UiTM FC vs Kuala Lumpur

KL Pos M’sia vs NS Betaria

PDRM vs KL Sime Darby

Johor vs KL SPA – 8.45pm

Sabah vs Perlis – 4.15pm

Both teams had faced each other last week at the Stadium Negeri here with Sarawak collecting full points after winning the match 1-0.

Alberts who was former Kedah coach had reiterated that Sarawak had to focus on their return match against Kedah and for the time being putting aside the coming FA Cup clash against Kelantan.

Newly acquired import, Junior Eldstal is expected to play today alongside with the home coming Zamri Morshidi who had returned to play for the Crocs.

Despite playing with new players, Sarawak is set to miss the services of Hairol Mokhtar as he is serving a one-match suspension.

Another good news for Sarawak camp is that playmaker, Joseph Kalang Tie will be playing tonight after he looked to have recovered fully from his previous injury.

In the league standings, Sarawak is currently at second place after 11 matches but sharing similar points with leaders Sime Darby but things may change for the better for the Crocs is they emerge victorious at the end of today’s match.

Meanwhile, Robert yesterday vehemently denied news on the sacking of import players Guy Bwele and Ivan Babic who were said to be leaving Sarawak soon. He brushed aside the rumours and said that they were not true indeed because the two players are playing for Sarawak tonight against Kedah in the return Premier League match at Stadium Alor Setar.

“My advice to those who spread the rumours is that they should stop speculating on the team’s transfer activities,” he said on the fact that Bwele and Babic will not be leaving anytime soon and they are honouring their contract here.

Bwele is considered by most fans as an integral part of the team and the Cameroonian is considered by many a midfield maestro in the Premier League.

Apart from that, the Crocs second top scorer Babic is also currently enjoying a good partnership with Bobby Gonzales.

Bwele signed for Sarawak in 2011 while Croatian Babic was brought in at the start of the 2013 Premier League season.
