MIRI: Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui hopes the collaborative spirit and unity among the 1Malaysia Community could be translated into support for the Barisan Nasional this coming election.

In his speech read out by his political secretary Datuk Sebastian Ting at the 1Malaysia Community Appreciation Dinner, Chin said he was impressed by the way the 1Malaysia Community carried out its social responsibility.

“Collaboration among people of all races and love for the nation are the elements we have been practising. This is our social responsibility as Malaysians. We should not be divided by our race.

“In fact, the spirit of unity had long existed among us and I believe the people can translate this unity into the future of our nation this coming election,” he said. Chin added that with unity and collaboration among the multiracial community, the nation can progress more effectively and efficiently.

In his address, Chin also praised the effort of the 1Malaysia Community in fostering unity and collaboration among people of all levels.

“I am proud and happy with the contribution by the 1Malaysia Community in implementing its social responsibility towards building a knowledgeable community in line with its role as the People’s Transformation Driving Force,” he said at Mega Hotel where the dinner was held.

Also present were Miri/Bintulu Information Officer Aziz Abdul Rahman, Miri Deputy Resident Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf and the organising chairman Councillor Julaihi Muhamad.
