MIRI: The re-nomination of Ahmad Lai Bujang to defend Sibuti in the 13th general election is great news for the constituents and shows that PBB recognises his good leadership and contributions all these years.
PBB Bekenu deputy chief Councillor Jamali Basri said he was not surprised that Ahmad Lai was given the nod to contest again as he had been close to both state and federal leaders.
He added that Ahmad Lai often invited federal leaders to visit Sibuti in order to see for themselves the development taking place and what the needs of the constituents were.
“I trust he can bring more development for Sibuti, just like what is envisaged by our prime minister for rural and urban areas,” said Jamali.
On the May 5 polls, Jamali urged Sibuti voters to stand solidly behind the BN in order to enjoy more fruits of development.
“There is no candidate more suitable for Sibuti at the moment other than Ahmad Lai. Give him your full support to ensure that he wins handsomely.”
Jamali said Sibuti might see multi-cornered fights as more than two sets of nomination papers had been snapped up.
“Irrespective of whether it’s a three-cornered or more fight, I believe Sibuti voters will remain loyal to BN because they know that only BN can bring more development for them.”
