Nangka rep shores up support for Lau

SIBU: Bumiputra voters in Nangka constituency must not rest on their laurels, seeing that the BN candidate for Sibu parliamentary constituency for this general election is not from PBB.

Its assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapaee said all the same they should come in full force to cast their votes for BN candidate Vincent Lau on polling day to ensure that Lau wins the seat, which ultimately would give Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak a strong mandate to continue governing the country.

“This is because the spirit of BN takes precedence and Bumiputera voters are urged to rally solidly behind BN by turning up in full force on polling day to support the BN candidate,” Dr Annuar said in drumming up support for Lau at Simpang Tiga, Kampung Hilir here late Wednesday night.

The crowd reciprocated with a thunderous applause and repeatedly declared support for BN loudly.

Dr Annuar also singled out reasons why people ought to continue giving full support to Najib.

Singing praises of the premier, he said since helming the country’s number one post, Najib had transformed the country.

Najib, he added, had also focused on the needy group to lessen their sufferings.

“Over 200 products had been initiated by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and among them was the BR1M to lessen the burden of the people caused by the spiralling prices of goods in the world market.

“Being a caring leader, he promised in the manifesto to raise the amount to RM1,200 if BN continues to lead the country,” Dr Annuar noted.

He pointed out under the stewardship of Najib, no strata of society had been sidelined.

Pensioners, he said, were given discounts between 25 and 50 per cent on goods they needed.

Dr Annuar also reminded the people to be wary of the promises made by the opposition as they would not be able to address the needs of the state.
