Newly-minted Malindo Air soaring high in the sky

SEPANG: Malindo Air, Malaysia’s hybrid airline, is doing well for it welcomed 50,000 guests onboard its brand new Boeing 737-900ER aircrafts within a month of operation.

The airline, which took to the skies on March 22, 2013, currently operates four flights daily from Kuching and three flights daily to Kota Kinabalu from Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s main terminal.

To mark its first month of operation, the airline is also extending its introductory one-way all-inclusive fares to Kuching from RM78 and Kota Kinabalu from RM108 to encourage more people, especially those returning from abroad for the 13th general election, to experience Malindo Air.

Thanking their guests, the airline’s chief executive officer Chandran Rama Muthy said Malindo Air was committed in building a reputation of quality and consistency in terms of service quality and customer satisfaction.

“This number (50,000) clearly demonstrates the underlined value we provide in exchange for the opportunity given.

Malindo Air currently operates a fleet of two brand new Boeing 737-900ER (extended range) aircrafts in a two-class configuration of 12 seats in Business and 168 seats in Economy.

Guests travelling onboard Malindo Air will also enjoy extra legroom at no additional cost as all seats in economy have a seat pitch of 32”.

All seats in economy are also fitted with in-flight entertainment system (IFE) that offers guest 12 of the latest Asian and Hollywood movie blockbusters and 20 interactive games to choose from at no additional charge.

Check-in baggage allowance of up to 15kg and light refreshments will also be provided to all passengers travelling in the economy cabin.

Business Class passengers enjoy a seat pitch of 45” between them and each seats fitted with personal 13-inch screen stowed away under their seat rest.

In addition, passengers will also enjoy complimentary baggage allowance of up to 30kg and a full meal
service with every business class ticket purchased.
