Exchange Programme Unites Youths from 2 districts

TUTONG: The Youth and Sports Department, Tutong District branch in collaboration with Kampong Kapok Consultative Council (MPK) in Brunei-Muara District recently organized a Districts Youth Exchange Programme 2013 in Kampong Kapok,  Borneo Bulletin reported.

A total of 45 youths including officers and staff from the Youth and Sports Department as well as the Youth Club Centre of Tutong District participated in the programme and stayed at the Kampong Kapok Mosque.

Meanwhile, 60 youths from Kampong Kapok MPK were also involved in the programme, representing the Brunei-Muara District.

The head of the Tutong delegation, Awg Mohammad Adi Shariman stated that the objectives of the programme were to exchange ideas and experience in implementing activities (youth or sports) and to foster closer ties among the participating youths.

During the two-day programme, the participants witnessed the process of making One Village products, participated in the sports activity held at Kampong Kapok Primary School Sports Complex and involved in cultural night performances at the residence of Kampng Kapok’s village head.

On the last day of the programme, participants had the opportunity to climb Bukit Tempayan Pisang which is the eco-tourism icon of the village.
