JULAU: The Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry has pledged full support for Datuk Joseph Salang who is standing as Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Julau.
Its president, Tan Sri Leo Moggie, advisor Tan Sri Leonard Linggi Jugah and deputy president Datuk Seri Celestine Ujang, hoped voters would return Salang with the biggest mandate.
Their joint message of support was conveyed by the chamber’s executive secretary, Terence Temenggong Jayang, who spoke at a meet-the-people session attended by Salang at Rh.Likik in Pedanum here yesterday.
Salang, who is information communication and culture deputy minister, is defending the seat for his fourth term. He is being challenged by Sarawak Workers Party (SWP) vice-president Wong Judat and Andy Wong Hong Yu of PKR.
In a similar development, the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP), Meluan branch has also pledged full support for Salang. — Bernama #myvote13 #ge13
