KANOWIT: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is a leader of great personality and a very dedicated leader, says Assistant Minister of Land Development Datuk Gramong Juna.

He said that Najib did not just visit big towns but went to rural areas to see for himself the hardships experienced by the people whenever he came to Sarawak.

“And he did not come alone but brought with him state and federal ministers to see to it that they attend to the people’s needs.

“For this reason, the people should not hesitate to give the Barisan Nasional (BN) a new mandate in the election. You will not regret if you cast your votes for BN. Make the right choice because this is your future,” Gramong said.

He added that in the past, it was rare to see people from the top administration visiting the rural areas.

“But the situation has changed under Najib’s administration,” Gramong told a gathering at the indoor stadium here Monday.

Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal was the guest-of-honour at the function that was also attended by Kanowit BN candidate Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.

Gramong, who is also Machan assemblyman, said frequent visits either by Najib, his ministers or heads of government departments and agencies to rural areas proved that the government cared for the people.

“From what they have gathered from the ground, the government is able to formulate its policies and programmes to transform the lives of the people,” he said.

He said it would be okay if the ‘change’ harped by the opposition in their ‘Ubah’ slogan would change the life of the people from poor to rich, bad to good, chaotic to peaceful and illiterate to knowledgeable.

“But, if the change is otherwise, it would not be okay.

“So before the opposition can ask the people to change the government, it must change itself first. Opposition leaders must change so they are not only good at talking but also can do their jobs,” he said. #myvote13 #ge13
