BUKIT MERTAJAM: Permatang Pauh voters should not repeat the same mistake as in the 2008 general election by giving a thumping victory to PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Former PKR youth chief Mohamad Ezam Mohd Noor said they must use their wise judgment in this election by making the right decision to reject Anwar when they cast their ballots on May 5.
Following Anwar’s resounding victory in 2008, an influential newspaper in Israel ‘The Jerusalem Post’ had hailed Anwar as a credible leader.
“Your votes are very important, more important than the votes in other areas because you are directly giving your votes and endorsement to a leader who will become the ‘stooge’ to a bigger agenda that will ruin this blessed nation,” Ezam said when speaking at a premier ceramah to defend the race, religion and country at Padang Bukit Jelutong, Permatang Pasir. — Bernama
