KUALA LANGAT: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has asked the Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery to continue to work hard until the last minute of the 13th general election (GE13) tomorrow.

He said this was because he noticed that the people were highly convinced by the national transformation policy propagated by the party.

“I notice that the mood is perfect and we have another one-and-a-half days more, not much time left, so carry on with our work because the people are most convinced with the national transformation policy.

“We have implemented many programmes which had benefited the people all this while. What is most important is the country’s future, we must convince the rakyat that they have no better choice than the BN,” he said in his speech at the ‘People-Friendly Programme’ for the Kuala Langat parliamentary constituency.

The event was held at the residence of the BN treasurer for the Kuala Langat parliamentary constituency, Datuk Nordin Selamat at Sijangkang, here yesterday.

Also present were the BN candidate for the Kuala Langat parliamentary seat, Sharuddin Omar, the BN candidates for the state assembly seats of Sijangkang, Zurihan Yusop, Telok Datok (Tan Cheng Chai), and Morib (Hasiman Sidom).

The prime minister said that besides wresting the administrative power in Selangor, BN must also retain Putrajaya to ensure that the policies adopted by the federal government would be consonant with the policies of the state government.

“A lot of problems will crop up if Putrajaya is (under) a different party from Selangor. All of us have gone through for five years and we know of the difficulties we face in implementing many things because many quarters were giving unfair consideration.

“Even worse is their (opposition’s) failure to fulfil the promises made in 2008, they made too many promises … many of them are left unfulfilled. But for the BN government, we certainly will fulfil all our pledges,” he said.

Najib also thanked the Kuala Langat BN machinery for being highly committed and united in ensuring victory for all the BN candidates in the parliamentary constituency for GE13.

The prime minister also announced an allocation of more than RM1 million to upgrade the Surau Al-Ansor, Taman Sri Medan, Sijangkang, to a mosque.

Earlier, the prime minister performed Friday prayers at the surau together with the local residents. — Bernama #myvote13 #ge13
