TAWAU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) auxiliary policemen have arrested three people stealing electric cables and equipment at a sub-station under construction in Jalan Tawau Lama, SESB senior general manager (asset management) Ahmad Fuad Kasim said yesterday.
He said the suspects were caught on May 5 and handed over to the police.
“The sub-station is being built to supply electricity to schools in the area,” Ahmad Fuad said in a statement.
He said the theft, the third involving arrests by SESB auxiliary policemen, resulted in a loss of about RM15,000 for SESB. — Bernama
