Include Sipitang elected representatives in cabinets — PBS

BEAUFORT: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Lumadan is hopeful that elected representatives

from Sipitang will be included in both the state and federal cabinets.

This is based on the performance of all three elected representatives in the just concluded 13th general election, PBS Lumadan chief Roslan Muharam said.

He pointed out that the increased majority of Sipitang MP Datuk Sapawi Ahmad as well as state assemblymen Datuk Kamarlin Ombi (Lumadan) and Ahmad Bujang (Sindumin) reflected the people’s trust in Barisan Nasional (BN).

“We are of the opinion that BN can show its appreciation of our trust and confidence by listing them for posts in the state and federal governments,” he said, adding that Sapawi, Kamarlin and Ahmad all retained their seats despite facing challenging competition from the other candidates.

PBS Lumadan, he pointed out, is confident that Sapawi, Ahmad and Kamarlin will be able to
carry out their duties well and having them in the state as well as federal cabinets would ensure smoother and efficient implementation of government programmes.

“Their service will not only be for Sipitang but Sabah and the country as a whole and PBS Lumadan is confident they can contribute as well as give the best service in line with the party’s and BN’s struggles,” he said.

Roslan was of the opinion that Sapawi, Kamarlin and Ahmad would not have scored increased majority in the election results if the electorate was not satisfied with their service.
