Telephone poles holding up roundabout project

KINABATANGAN: Telekom Malaysia (TM) has been urged to relocate its poles for the construction of a roundabout in front of the district hospital here.

According to district traffic committee chairman Basrih Haji Osman, the plan to build a roundabout at the main road has long been delayed due to the failure of TM to relocate its poles.

This issue was raised during a meeting.

“The roundabout was scheduled for completion by December last year but it has been delayed for almost six months now,” he said.

Traffic congestion and accidents have also happened frequently around the construction site, he claimed.

Therefore, Basrih hoped TM will relocate the poles immediately.
