KOTA KINABALU: Papar beauty queen Shanen Brenda Engelbert Lim and Penampang contestant Dedie Phang respectively won the Miss Friendly and Miss Natural Beauty subsidiary titles of the 2013 State-level Unduk Ngadau last night.
They both received a crown worth RM10,000, a sash, a bouquet and a trophy.
The best dress prize was won by Immaculate Lojuki of Kota Kinabalu and she will go
a Star Cruises trip.
The Best Creative Design prize went to Boy Petrus for his design called Binabang Do Huminodun worn by Tanjung Aru beauty queen Ashley Selvi Ravindran.
The Unduk Ngadau competition has been the highlight of the Kaamatan celebration in
Sabah since its inception in 1960. One of the 40 contestants for this year will be crowned at the KDCA in Penampang tomorrow.
Today, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman will launch the two-day traditional sports and Kaamatan exhibition at the same venue, the other main events of the celebration.
