KOTA KINABALU: PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar was reported to have been denied entry into Sabah yesterday.

Nurul arrived at Kota Kinabalu last evening for the Kaamatan celebration.

PKR deputy secretary-general Darell Leiking, who was waiting for the Lembah Pantai member of parliament at the airport, tweeted saying he was waiting for the blacklist to see if Nurul was on it.

Nurul tweeted saying “Sabah immigration is arranging my deportation. I am not allowed to discuss with MP Darrell Leiking, who’s here waiting for me.”

Nurul tweeted again saying that there were other MPs who will not be allowed into Sabah.

“There are other MPs who will be denied entry into Sabah. When (I) pressed for their names, denied access. Deemed to be secret,” said Nurul.

She also tweeted wishing Sabahans a Happy Kaamatan, adding: “I can’t be with you. But remember our bond as Malaysians remains stronger than ever.”
