TYT invited to attend Agong’s birthday thanksgiving prayer

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin yesterday received a courtesy call from the main committee of the 2013 state-level birthday celebration of the Yang Dipertuan Agong.

The delegation was led by its chairman Dato Sri Michael Manyin who is Minister of Infrastructure Development and Communications at his residence Sri Impian.

The call was to extend an invitation to Salahuddin to attend a thanksgiving  prayer in conjunction with the celebration at Masjid At-Muttaqin in Kota Samarahan on May 31.

Apart from the thanksgiving, Salahuddin will also attend a tea party in honour of the Agong at Samarahan Civic Centre, followed by the launching of a three-day ‘Our King’ exhibition organised by the State Information Department.

Also present at the courtesy call were Assistant Minister of Housing Abdul  Karim Rahman Hamzah, Deputy  State Secretary Datu Misnu Taha, Samarahan Resident Ismail Mohd Haris, director of Chief Minister Department’s Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Azlan Ali Badri, Welfare Dept director Noriah Ahmad and Sarawak Islamic Religious Department  director Abang Shamsudin Abang Saruji.
