KOTA KINABALU: A luxury car dealer company’s managing director was picked up by the Sabah Islamic Affairs Department (JHEAINS) for alleged close proximity with a man, believed to be the general manager in the same company, at a condominium in the wee hours yesterday.

It is believed that the 48-year-old woman is still married with a child while her West Malaysian partner, aged 40, is also married.

According to sources, the woman who is separated from her husband, does not live together, and is believed to be having an affair with her staff. They are also said to be living together.

Feeling amiss, the woman’s husband reported the matter to JHEAINS’ enforcement division to carry out an investigation.

“Based on the report, a team rushed to the condominium about 2am before making the arrest. Upon arrival, the enforcement personnel knocked on the door and was greeted by a man 20 minutes later,” said Imam Sham from the JHEAINS.

After getting permission to enter, they found a woman in one of the rooms.

“The couple were picked up and brought to the police station in the city for further investigation,” he said.

When met at the police station, the woman’s husband expressed his disappointment.

“Whatever she did not only brought shame to the family but my wife has committed the biggest sin. Only God understands how I feel right now. Both of them should be ashamed of themselves because they are still attached to their spouses,” he said.

Norisham said the case would be referred to the Syariah Court soon after processing the investigation papers.
