KUCHING: A solitary goal by Hisyam Afifi Mohamad in the 29th minute was enough to seal three points for the Sarawak President’s Cup squad in their away game against Perlis at Stadium Utama Negeri, Kangar.

The team now sits at the 15th spot in the league table with 20 points from 26 games.

“We were hoping for a win to improve our standings on the table,” said assistant coach Awang Jobli Awang Bidin after the match yesterday.

He was happy with his team’s spirit and dedication which was reflected in their relentless attacking play.

“I hope that their winning spirit will not falter during the next match against Kedah on June 10 and Kuala Lumpur on June 13 at the state stadium.”

The team can take advantage of the home ground to gain the full six points.
