KOTA KINABALU: A senior citizen was found dead in a drain near a playground at Taman Putera Jaya Apartments in Telipok, here yesterday.
The victim, Mohd Isa Ismail, 60, is believed to have fallen while he was jogging at the playground.
Residents nearby found his body around 10.30am yesterday and immediately notified the police.
City police chief ACP Jauteh Dikun confirmed the case, adding that the police have classified the case as sudden death as no foul play was involved.
The body has been sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for a post mortem.
