KOTA KINABALU: The state National Registration Department (NRD) counters will only be operating from Mondays to Fridays from this month to the end of September.
This is because of maintenance work that is being carried out at areas 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Kompleks Pentadbiran Kerajaan Persekutuan or more commonly known as Mini Putrajaya to the locals in the state.
The maintenance work which involves replacing tiles and adding bitumen will be noisy and affect the surrounding areas, a statement from Sabah NRD’s Public Relations Officer, Janisah Mohd Norr, said.
She added that dust from the work will also affect the identity card application counters as well as the Birth, Death and Adoption Unit.
“The public is reminded to take note that the state NRD counters will be closed every weekend from July 13 to Sept 29. Any inquiries can be directed to its Customer Service office from Monday to Friday during office hours (8am to 5pm) at 088-488300/488301.
