A MESS: The office desk and drawers found ransacked.

SIBU: Methodist Theological School was found broken into yesterday morning with RM1,000 cash, a camera and two video cameras worth a total of RM16,000 missing.

Three doors on the ground floor were found tampered with, and four office rooms ransacked.

A management staff said a cleaner heard noises from inside the building when she arrived at the school around 4.30am.

She did not dare to check it out.

A number of students who arrived around 5.15am for prayer accompanied the cleaner to create sound at the front door in an attempt to scare off the intruder(s).

No one came out.

They found the ground floor in a mess when they entered and switched on the light.

There was a wooden plank at the back door and an iron tool in the building.

The sentry said he did not notice anyone intrude into the building.

Yesterday’s was the third break-in at the school.

Sibu MP Oscar Ling was at the school yesterday to show concern.
