Three bullet shells, a wallet containing his identity details, RM60 cash and a Nokia mobile phone were also found near him.

Kerian district CID chief ASP Hilmi Ahmad said in the 9.40am incident, the victim told his sister that he was going out on work matters, but 10 minutes later she was told by the neighbours that he was involved in an accident.

“She rushed to the scene and found her brother lying in a pool of blood and still breathing but could not talk. Around five minutes later he died at the scene,” he said via the short-messaging service (SMS) here, yesterday.

The victim’s body later was sent to the Parit Buntar Hospital for post-mortem, he said. He said initial investigations found the victim from Taman Seri Semarak, Parit Buntar had five previous criminal record.

Meanwhile, Hilmi said there were no witnesses who saw the suspect but three teachers at a kindergarten near the scene, were shocked when they heard two shots.

“Through the kindergarten’s side window, they saw a man fall off from his motorcycle and they thought the victim was involved in an accident as they didn’t see any suspect at the scene,” he said.
