LEADERS and the community are invited to give their opinions and suggestions on uniting the various communities in the country, for assimilation into the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC).
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup said the opinions and suggestions would be evaluated by a special team that would outline the National Unity Plan.
“The government invites all quarters, including the opposition, to give their views and ideas which shows that the government is concerned and sincere about uniting the people with the formation of the NUCC,” he said when replying to a question from Senator Datuk Dr Firdaus Abdullah at the Dewan Negara, here yesterday.
Dr Firdaus had asked about the plans for national unity as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in May. — Bernama
