KOTA KINABALU: A 40-year-old farmer, who is currently serving 14 years’ jail for incestuous rape, was charged with another case of rape at the Sessions Court here yesterday.
Judge Azreena Aziz fixed trial for Nov 7-8 after the accused pleaded not guilty to raping his nine-year-old daughter on June 8, 2012, at a village in Kota Belud.
The court also fixed Aug 26 for the accused’s case management.
He was charged under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code which provides for up to 30 years’ jail and liable to whipping, upon conviction.
In June 2012, the accused was convicted under the same Act for raping his oldest daughter, who was 16 years old at the time of the incident.
Deputy public prosecutor Effizah Ernie Idris prosecuted the case.
