KUCHING: The Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS) has lauded the Teachers Education Institute Tun Abdul Razak Campus (IPGKTAR) for taking the initiative to jointly organise the first Sports Science Seminar

MSNS director Francis Nyurang Ding said that there has been very few sports science seminars of this nature that are organised in Sarawak.

Therefore, MSNS are pleased and supportive of having this sports seminar here in the state.

“It is also necessary to be pro active in bringing together experts, professionals and practitioners to share their knowledge and ideas in sports science to develop sports,” he said.

Francis called upon all sports associations to support this seminar as coaches need to keep abreast with the terminology and principles of sports science and communicate their needs in a collaborative manner to optimise and maximise the performance of elite athletes in Sarawak.

He also expressed his sincere thanks to IPGKTAR director Hamsiah Abdullah Masni, Dr Chin Ngien Siong (IPGKTAR) and ISN Sarawak head Joshua Philip for their combined efforts with MSN to organise this seminar.
