LFC chief executive officer Shamsul Sahari said yesterday that tickets for Labuan-Menumbok trip from the first until the third day of Hari Raya had been sold out.

“On the first day of Hari Raya (today), the ferry’s first trip for Labuan-Menumbok which normally departs at 7.30am has been rescheduled to 10.30am as many of workers and passengers will still be performing prayers for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The total number of ferry trips until August 15 is eight for the Labuan-Menumbok-return route. Depending on the passengers’ demand, we are prepared to make additional trips if the need arises,” he said.

Meanwhile, another RoRo ferry operator, Juta Bonus Sdn Bhd said that they still have some tickets available for the Labuan-Menumbok trip on the first day of Hari Raya.

The spokesperson for the company, Joseph Wong, said yesterday that tickets were still available for Labuan-Menumbok route for 3.30pm and 8.30pm departure, while for the first trip at 8.30am, all have been sold out.

“From August 10 onwards, most of the tickets have been sold out for the Menumbok-Labuan route and only from August 20 onwards are tickets available,” he said.
