KUCHING: Last year’s champion Sibu showed serious intentions of defending their boy’s title in the Sarawak Inter-Division U17 Basketball Championship when they scored their second consecutive victory at Bintulu Basketball Association Stadium in Bintulu on Friday.

Miri, with one win and one defeat, sits in second spot with three points and Samarahan are last in the group with two points from two straight losses.

In Group B, Sri Aman kept their hopes of making the semi-finals alive when they edged Kuching 54-46 on Friday.

With the victory, Sri Aman now top the group with three points ahead of Bintulu (2 points) and Kuching (1 point).

Meanwhile, Sibu girls charged into the final after whipping Kuching 60-36.
