KUCHING: Visitors to the Saberkas ICT Fair – to be held at Wisma Saberkas LG & UG Floor from August 30 to September 1 – can expect exciting promotions including special offers, cash vouchers, happy hour prices for certain items, and a daily auction for IT gadgets.
The Kuching Computer Business Association (KCBA) is the event organiser of Wisma Saberkas to co-ordinate the mini indoor fair where a total of 30 booths will be set up. To date, most of the booths have been taken up by various retailers.
This fair is solely for the benefit of the IT, photo, telco and mobile tenants of the building who are KCBA members to showcase their products.
Marketing promotions for this fair includes fishtails to be hung around town, newspaper advertisements and a giant banner at the Wisma Saberkas building.
Generally, visitors to the Saberkas ICT Fair can expect to find good bargains for the latest electronics product at special prices.
Customers can enjoy cash vouchers of RM10 for every purchase of RM200, RM20 for purchases above RM1,001, and RM30 for purchases above RM2,001 in a single receipt. These vouchers are redeemable at any Wisma Saberkas participating retail outlets from September 2 till 11.
Visitors can also expect special offers for selected items like wireless mouses for RM9, 8GB USB drives for RM9, cooler pads at RM9 and 500GB External HDDs for RM99 at limited units on the first day (August 30) during happy hours at 11am and 6pm.
In addition, an auction for IT gadgets will be held daily over the three days at 6pm. Some of the items on the auction block include smartphones, tablet, and cameras, all with a starting price of RM1.

Aside from the fair, KCBA has also collaborated with Red Crescent, Stampin Chapter in organizing community services. On Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, there will be a blood and organ donation campaign from 10 am to 3 pm.
On Sunday, September 1, a health awareness programme will also be held from 10am to 3pm while there will be a colouring contest open for all primary school children from 2pm to 5pm.
