PETALING JAYA: The Ministry of Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government is launching a one-stop centre database for affordable housing by year-end.
Its Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said the systematic registration and specific database was vital to determine the actual needs or demand for affordable housing.
“I found out that one of the problems we’re facing now is all the systems are independently run,” he said.
He said currently, 1Malaysia People’s Housing Project (PR1MA), Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SBNB), Jabatan Perumahan Negara and private sector had their own market research and database. — Bernama
